The Better Point Of View

If there was a way to control the outcomes of everyday situations, and that was as simple as slightly revising your way of thinking, would you be interested? Everybody goes through tough times, and it is especially difficult for teenagers becoming young adults. At that particular stage in life, you are trying new things, meeting different people and experiencing situations that are completely different from anything that you have discovered in the past. You are looking for guidance but don’t want to ask the questions. You assume that nobody could possibly be experiencing the same situation as you so there is no point in asking for advice.

Our surroundings play a vital role in distinguishing who we become and why. As an individual who has become strong though surviving the worst state of affairs that you could possibly imagine, I have learned to approach all situations with a different perspective. One that will not only get me though it, but one that will leave a worthwhile impression on everyone involved.

Attitude and perceptions about issues that occur will influence the consequences or outcome. Why then, would you not use that to your advantage?

Lessons in life have taught me to become strong enough to overcome any obstacles that stand in the way of my goals and successfully fulfilling them, and I look forward to sharing them with you.

I have discovered that emotions are a natural outburst of feelings and that with the strength of your own mind you can control them. Your mind is the powerhouse that will give you the strength to accomplish anything that you desire if you want it bad enough. You have to believe in yourself and be confident that even through the toughest of times, you can make it. The world meets nobody half way, so if you want something bad enough, you have to pursue it.

The images that you will see throughout this booklet are symbolic to the emotions that the following words may not portray. The two together form an alliance of feelings and reactions from my perspective. They may seem bold and outright discourteous, but that is a matter of opinion. I speak the truth the way that I see things and come right out and say it like it is; as I am a stronger person by speaking my mind. Although you may sense negativity in some of the following, it is only through my experiences that I am who I am today. I am alive, real, and living with a clear conscience for which obstacles become stepping stones to goals and dreams of my future. It is never too late to make a change for the better.

This book has been written for anyone who would like to improve their lifestyle and start seeing the glass half full. It has been written in a form of poetry allowing the average reader to understand it, and yet written generically to allow anyone to apply it to their own lives. These poems have been my only release from the deepest feelings that seemed to have changed my life forever. I hope that you can capture and appreciate the formation of this concept and will take advantage of this opportunity to strengthen your mind.
